Extend catheter life and improve animal welfare with The Best Button. Animals can be group housed, and connections are simple and stress-free.
For a simple infusion study, this basic set-up is fast, clean, and is easy on both the researcher and the guinea pig. By using the CannuLock™ Catheter Access Buttons™ and Tethers, animals can be quickly connected & disconnected for frequent weighing, with minimal disruption to the study. If infusion is intermittent, then the protective cap makes it possible to group house animals during rest periods. With minor modifications, this same system can be used for blood sampling studies.
Use this configuration for studies that require both infusion and blood collection. The swivel line connects between the pump and the CannuLock™ Catheter Access Button™. The blood sampling line is connected to a Catheter Access Port™ to keep the blood collection process clean and improve catheter patency. Running large-scale studies? We offer pump management software that reduces paperwork for GLP infusion protocols.
